Beth Daley

Beth DaleyMy name is Beth Daley and, after completing a 500 hour practicum at Jewish Family Services and Vancouver Community College , I am delighted to now be a part of the team at West Coast Wellness.

Besides my training in Counselling Psychology at UBC, I have had special training in Existential Analysis which is a person-centered psychotherapy based on the work of Viktor Frankl. Existential counselling is designed to guide the client to a free experience of their mental and emotional life, to make authentic decisions and to discover a truly responsive way of dealing with life and the world. This training has equipped me to work in depth with clients in areas such as grief and loss, anxiety, trust building, self-esteem, boundaries, understanding values, and finding meaning .

I have also had experience in counselling clients with spiritual/religious struggles and really value helping clients wrestle through these concerns.

On a personal note, I enjoy counselling work very much and count it a privilege to be “let in” on the stories my clients choose to share. I have great respect for the counselling process and the uniqueness of each person. I am open to working with individuals, couples and families.
